The 10th French Science and Technology Innovation Exhibition was recently held in Paris, an important European science and technology innovation event that attracted 14000 start-up companies and about 180000 visitors. This exhibition highlights the development trend of AI (artificial intelligence) full domain integration, with industry focus shifting from consumer AI applications to industrial physical scenarios.

AI is everywhere "has become a common feeling among attendees. The organizer stated that AI is no longer a single topic, but rather runs through various areas such as digital sovereignty, risk governance, and corporate strategy. Compared with previous years that focused on consumer applications such as chatbots and content generation, this exhibition pays more attention to the deep integration of AI with physical operating scenarios such as factories, ports, power grids, and energy systems, shifting from "being able to speak" to "being able to work".

In the field of energy, French company Total Energy has deployed over 13000 sensors worldwide, utilizing AI to analyze equipment operation status and methane emission data in real-time. This enables the early identification of faults that are difficult to detect with the naked eye, enabling predictive maintenance. In the logistics industry, Dafei Shipping Group utilizes AI to integrate multidimensional data such as fuel consumption, container flow, sailing distance, and port operations, enabling rapid risk assessment and optimization of ship scheduling plans in emergency situations such as the tense situation in the Strait of Hormuz.

Siemens highlighted its development of the "Eigen" engineering agent, an AI assistant that not only provides recommendations but also performs end-to-end automated engineering tasks, increasing engineering efficiency by up to 50%. The chairman and CEO of the company, Boleren, stated that reliability and safety become the primary challenges when AI intervenes in production line control, power grid management, and logistics scheduling, because industrial AI cannot tolerate "illusions" - occasional errors in consumer grade chatbots are still experiential issues, and a misjudgment in industrial scenarios can lead to downtime, waste, and even safety accidents. Therefore, industrial AI is not simply integrated into large models, but is embedded with trustworthy capabilities from the beginning of system design.

The iteration of AI technology has put forward higher requirements for the power access capacity, dispatch response speed, power supply stability, and green power ratio of data centers. Chinese enterprise Yuanjing Technology Group showcased its "AI Power System" solution. The group has built the world's first "computer power collaboration" system level sample in Chifeng, Inner Mongolia, which realizes dynamic collaboration of wind, solar, storage, hydrogen, and computing, and can operate completely off grid. Through meteorological big models, AI can predict wind and solar energy resources and meteorological changes for the next 10-15 days, achieving efficient coordination of power generation optimization, energy storage scheduling, and grid regulation. The chairman of the group, Zhang Lei, stated that with the rapid growth in demand for AI computing power, it is not only consuming energy, but also helping to utilize energy more efficiently. The deep integration of energy and computing power is becoming an important direction for the next stage of AI development.

Prior to the exhibition, the United States implemented export restrictions on advanced models of local AI companies, and topics such as technological sovereignty, open source and closed source, and trustworthy industrial AI also became hot topics. Many attendees discussed the sovereignty of European artificial intelligence technology, open source and closed source, and called for the construction of "inclusive" rather than "exclusive" technological sovereignty. Francesco Bonfilio, strategic advisor at Italian cloud infrastructure company Elemento, believes that technological sovereignty should be "inclusive", not completely exclusive of foreign technology, but rather allow users to have a clear understanding of the operating mechanism of the services they use and the way data is processed, and on this basis, retain the right to make their own choices. At the "Looking East: China's AI Rise and Full Stack Advantage" dialogue held during the exhibition, Alibaba Group Chairman Joseph Tsai stated that no country should concentrate all its resources in a single basket, and open-source models meet the needs of European companies for data security and privacy protection.

The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development predicts that the global AI market will grow from $189 billion in 2023 to $4.8 trillion in 2033. PwC Global Chairman James Bond said, "AI is not only a technological change, but also means a deep transformation of enterprises, which requires redesigning workflows and reshaping organizational forms in order to truly unleash its economic potential
