By 2025, the total output value of low altitude economy in Hunan Province is expected to exceed 160 billion yuan, of which the scale of low altitude economy in Changsha will exceed 50 billion yuan. On August 6th, the Hunan Province 2025 Airspace Productivity Innovation Conference and the DJI FC100 New Product Launch Conference were held in Changsha. The theme of this conference is "Intelligent Future · Low altitude Sailing", gathering over a thousand representatives from various sectors including government, industry, academia, research, and application to jointly explore new paths for high-quality development of the low altitude economy and witness the latest breakthroughs in China's unmanned aerial vehicle technology.

Hunan takes the lead in building the "Hunan Model" of low altitude economy

At the conference, it was learned that as the first pilot province for comprehensive low altitude management reform in China, Hunan has established a "1+13+N" low altitude flight service guarantee system covering the whole province, realizing the operation of a "one network" of low altitude communication, navigation, monitoring, and flight services. At the same time, with multidimensional advantages such as institutional innovation, industrial clusters, and scene expansion, Hunan has taken the lead in building the "Hunan Model" of low altitude economy, effectively promoting a 30% increase in the utilization rate of airspace resources.

In this context, the association actively promotes policy implementation, participates in the formulation of local standards, organizes technical exchanges and supply-demand docking, and helps enterprises expand their application scenarios. "At the conference, Yu Shouchao, President of the Hunan Low altitude Economy Association, stated that the association has gathered more than 200 member units, covering multiple fields such as manufacturing, operation, service, finance, and scientific research, becoming an important force in promoting the high-quality development of Hunan's low altitude economy.

According to relevant data, the total output value of low altitude economy in Hunan Province is expected to exceed 160 billion yuan by 2025, and by 2035, a trillion dollar market with "county-level airports and landing points in every township" will be built. Changsha, Zhuzhou, Xiangtan and other places have formed an industrial cluster centered on the manufacturing of general aviation aircraft, research and development of unmanned aerial vehicles, flight training, and aviation new materials. It has a group of industry-leading enterprises such as Shanhe Aviation and China Electronics Technology Aviation Electronics, and has continuously made breakthroughs in cutting-edge technologies such as eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft) and intelligent flight control systems.

Changsha's industrial ecology is accelerating its formation

In recent years, Changsha has seized the opportunities of low altitude airspace reform, technological innovation, and large-scale application development, focusing on innovation, scale, scenarios, airspace, and security, and has achieved significant results.

The "linking power" index of urban low altitude economy ranks 12th in the country. According to Luo Xuxin, the chairman of the Hunan Low altitude Economy Association, by 2025, the scale of Changsha's low altitude economy will exceed 50 billion yuan, and there will be 20 enterprises above designated size. A number of leading enterprises are accelerating their rise. A complete industrial chain integrating research and development design, component manufacturing, complete machine manufacturing, and operation services is accelerating its formation in Changsha.

In addition, Hunan Xiangjiang General Aviation Industry Investment Fund Partnership Enterprise (Limited Partnership) has recently been successfully registered with the China Securities Investment Fund Industry Association (registration code: SBBK03), with a total scale of 200 million yuan, marking the official entry of Xiangjiang Group's first industrial investment fund focused on the low altitude economy into the investment operation stage; At the same time, the development project of Xiangjiang Zhihang New City Low altitude Economic Industrial Park (Phase I) has settled in the Xiangjiang Science City area, with a total planned area of about 8 square kilometers and an expected overall investment of 15.7 billion yuan... Changsha's low altitude economic related supporting facilities are continuing to be implemented.

As a core application carrier of low altitude economy, unmanned aerial vehicle systems have shown significant industrialization potential in fields such as agriculture, transportation, electricity, and emergency response. It is worth mentioning that at the conference, DJI Company released a new type of carrier drone FC100. It is the first unmanned aerial vehicle to complete material transportation on Mount Everest; in the Yangtze River waterway, it supplies materials to more than 100 ships daily, with an annual transportation volume of 140000 kilograms. The relevant person in charge of DJI Company stated that the product has an effective payload of 80 kilograms, a maximum flight altitude of 1500 meters, and a range of 26 kilometers, providing solid technical product support for the low altitude transportation field and having significant significance in promoting industry technological innovation and upgrading.
