In the next five years, artificial intelligence will enter more cars, robots, factories, and consumer terminals in Chongqing.

On August 21st, the Chongqing Municipal Government publicly released the "15th Five Year Plan for the Development of Artificial Intelligence in Chongqing (2026-2030)". The plan proposes that by 2030, the core industry scale of the city's intelligent economy will exceed 250 billion yuan, the number of artificial intelligence enterprises will reach 1000, and the penetration rate of new generation artificial intelligence terminals, intelligent agents and other applications will exceed 90%.

From AI smartphones and smart homes, to smart cars and embodied intelligence, and then to the "AI+" future factory, Chongqing's plan further integrates artificial intelligence with existing industrial foundations and consumer scenarios.

The more direct way to connect with ordinary consumers is through artificial intelligence terminals.

The plan proposes that by 2030, the penetration rate of new generation artificial intelligence terminals, intelligent agents and other applications will exceed 90%, and it is clear to develop products such as artificial intelligence smartphones, artificial intelligence computers, intelligent robots, smart homes, and smart wearables.

Among them, smart homes will develop from single item intelligence to whole house collaboration and the interconnection of people, cars, and homes; In the field of commercial consumption, we will promote the construction of smart commercial districts, smart blocks, and smart stores, and introduce applications such as intelligent shopping guidance and intelligent customer service. The plan also proposes to expand artificial intelligence scenarios such as health monitoring and home safety monitoring.

On the industrial side, Chongqing will focus on cultivating five characteristic industrial clusters: intelligent low altitude, intelligent home, embodied intelligence, intelligent automobiles, and new generation intelligent terminals.

Among them, embodied intelligence has already appeared in specific industrial projects. On March 26th, Yushu Technology signed a contract for the Western Innovation and Operation Center project of embodied intelligent robots in Chongqing. The project plans to build a humanoid robot embodied intelligent laboratory, a quadruped robot research and development center, a humanoid robot data acquisition center, and a robot manufacturing base, involving applications such as public services, flexible production, assembly, quality inspection, and industrial inspection.

The plan proposes that Chongqing will accelerate the research and development of industrial, service, and special robots, promote the research and development of humanoid robots, and at the same time promote the large-scale production of key components such as reducers and encoders, and accelerate the mass production and application of six dimensional force sensors, vision sensors, and other sensors.

Smart cars are also a key direction. The plan proposes to promote the transition of automobiles towards "mobile intelligent agents", with a focus on developing intelligent cockpits, intelligent driving, in vehicle operating systems, and high computing power chips.

Cases of AI entering traditional industrial production have also emerged. The "CISDigital AI Golden Eye" visual model of MCC CCID has been promoted and applied in 51 steel enterprises, covering more than 100 scenarios throughout the entire process of steel metallurgy. A total of 1745 sets of equipment have been deployed, with an average business recognition accuracy rate of 98%.

On the application side, it is planned to build 200 "artificial intelligence+" comprehensive scenarios by 2030, covering advanced manufacturing, modern agriculture, modern service industry, future industries, urban governance, people's livelihood and other fields. A list of scenario opportunities and capabilities will be regularly released, and a dynamic scenario library will be constructed.

Advanced manufacturing is an important direction among them. Chongqing will promote the deep embedding of large models and intelligent agents into the entire manufacturing process, and build 50 "AI+" future factories; Build 5 "AI+" future farms in the agricultural sector.

In terms of urban governance, artificial intelligence will enter into urban planning, construction, management, transportation, and safety governance. Livelihood areas such as healthcare, education and teaching, employment, and social security will also be included in the planning.
